Hey, I would love to live a wild life - maybe. Lots of wine, women and song. Party till you drop and all that.
But, I would not want to become the jerk that gets banned, kicked off or kicked out. So sorry. But I have never been cut off on a flight or banned from a hotel chain, you need to be a very bad drunk for that to happen. Might be fun for him but it sucks to be around those types. Not to say I haven't had a couple of issues, 5 years ago ordering my 5th bourbon HKG-ORD in J and being told I am drinking very quickly (yes, I do), but I smiled and they brought me another. One LH flight US to Germany a long time ago a group of us were flying in Y and were told 5 beers was our limit, I walked back to the purser and explained we were headed to work where it would be dry and could we please have more, they obliged without a limit. Being nice gets you a lot further than being an .... |

I actually do live that type of lifestyle as well, $1000 bar tabs, bottles of champagne while in the lounge and flying, drinking a lot of beer during the day then a bottle of Jack that night, trips to BKK on the wild side........

Truly horrendous.
Did you speak to a crew member ....?? This is why I have no time for the boasting tales of OTT alcohol binges on board an aircraft, which are seemingly considered fun by our friend who went so far that he was '"cut off" . Quite apart from the purely boorish behaviour element, there is always the underlying concern of things escalating to the point where safety becomes an issue. Not so much a problem if you're on the ground and the jerk can be thrown out of a bar /club to sober up in the street. Different story at 35,000 feet. |

Maybe one day his boorish behaviour will be of a nature that the airline will divert to offload the passenger |

Yes i did speak to the crew apparently he was cut off in the lounge and told he could board , but he would not be served alcohol including the Tiramisu cake too as that contained alcohol as well, so he bought his own booze from the duty free store. i got the impression the 20 yr tan model looking cabin crew members didn't really want to get involved as they were a bit scared of him , but apparently the captain found out he was booked on a corporate ticket and Qatar Legal would contact his company on arrival as they didn't want an issue to kick off in flight ..... Nothing worse paying big $$$ and getting it spoiled by people who think the are untouchable once they have had a drink or two ! |
