FOOD & DRINKS in J (Economic)

Hi, Im such a noob about long haul flights :p .. in fact next month im taking my first long flight MAD-DXB-PEK. Im very excited about it :D ( ijust graduated in aircraft engineering and i am very nerd about aircrafts :D)

I checked that I ll be flying on B777-300ER wooooaw.. most powerful aircraft engines ever lolz :P. I selected windows seat (40A) so i can have a nice view of both landscape and flaps/ailerons/spoilers stuff lolz ( :p) żgood/smart choice?

Altough i know a bit about technical staff of B773 i have no idea at all about emirates service on board (in economic class). These are my questions:

How much can I eat on the aircraft? Can i have unlimited food? Which kind of food is unlimited? :P (no fat) lolz (yes, a bit big)

Can I have unlimited drinks? Do they give you cans already opened? (lolz :D)

Which kind of alcoholic drinks can I get for free (are included)? are they also unlimited?

Another thing...

Can i see outboards cameras during flight or just in taxi/Take-off/Landing??

Thank you guys for your time :D

PD: Y(economic)

Well you're clearly very excited about your first Emirates experience, in fact your first long-haul flight of any sort, and I do hope you have a fun trip ^

My own first long-haul flight was with TWA, which has long since disappeared from the aviation world ......

I was initially confused by your subject heading, but since you specifically say you are travelling in 40A then you will be seated in Economy Class, which is coded as Y, whereas J denotes Business Class.

I'm not best placed to help wrt economy seat choice, but I'm sure others will do so.

In the meantime however .....of all the different questions you might like to ask of the cabin crew (especially the Purser) once on board the aircraft, may I strongly suggest you do NOT include this particular one .......

....unless of course you wish to receive special in-flight attention for all the wrong reasons.

As for food : I've no idea exactly how big an appetite you have (though something tells me it might well be above average......) - but safe to say the quantity is NOT unlimited. If only because there is a limit to just how much food can be loaded into the galleys.........

Key in your flight number and date of travel on the emirates website, it will show you your menu for the flights if within the next month or so. Food and drinks are not unlimited unfortunately, however you can request for extra meals and they usually have spares if you are lucky.

Vodka and Red Bull, quite possibly the worst drink to have while flying, they will be carrying you off the plane dehydrated...
On a side note i am almost certain Red Bull is not available in any class of travel

You can get unlimited amount of all drinks catered in Economy class.

However, if your behaviour on board is as childish as you present yourself here (and yes, all that "lolz" and "I drink and eat unlimited" wording is most certainly attributing to it) they might cut you off quite fast.

So, better behave decently, not just for the sake of yourself, but rather of everyone on board including the crew, and yes, you can get served quite a few drinks. Try to have some water in between at the very least, to not make you feel dehydrated, and as well as to avoid having a mayor hangover later. Flying with headache is the worst thing you want to experience.

Correct, I don't think Red Bull flies with EK...

I really appreciate all your answers. I ll behave very polite and i ll try to get an upgrade to 1st class with my good manners :lolz :D...but i really want to know with kind of coktails can i get on tourist?

Another questions:

* Is 40A a good seat to view the landscape nad to see the trailing edge vortex and local shocking waves at c ertain points of the airfoil where Mach 1 is reached (locally) (this is the nerd stuff people next to me will have to hear lolz :D)

* Is poker available on ICE, and do they make tournaments onboard with money?

*

Since the aircraft can not exceed Mach 0.8, this is a moot point. And no, there are no tournaments involving money on board.

Good spot.......

Yep, it looks very much like I've been "had" and am now thinking that my earlier post #4 was a waste of effort

That said, the more positive aspect is that - even if the OP really is travelling as described - then at least I can relax in the knowledge that I have no plans to fly those same sectors next month (or indeed at any time in the forseeable future). As per YuropFlyer's comments above, the OP's bizarre series of alcohol-related questions give every sign of a less-than-ideal fellow passenger ..........

I think you need to settle down a little bit or you might have some pretty cheesed off pax sitting around you. Certainly if you perform the same in real life as you do online - I suspect not but cannot be sure.

No offence, but at 23 years old and with a wife, have you not had time to get over using "lolz" and all the smiling faces all the time... maybe I'm just incredibly grumpy but it's pretty annoying to read.

Anyway, if it's your first trip long-haul, just experience and learn. See what you like and what you don't like then use that as a basis for your future flights. I suspect you may prefer an aisle seat in the future if you're concerned about being able to get up for a stretch/lavatory break without disturbing those that you're flying with.

I'd imagine there'd be some sort of card game on the ICE, but I'm pretty sure you can't gamble with real money (please correct if I'm wrong). Since your final destination is PEK, you will not be gambling for the duration of your stay here as gambling on the mainland is strictly forbidden.
