Its usually cheaper to buy a J out Y in ticket ex Uk. I then throw away the Y ticket once I reach India. Then buy a J return from India and come back to the UK. The return To India is used to go back to India. do you have a lot of planned travel to Ind? or is the bold part a flex ticket where you can keep changing dates into the future? I would assume not since the itinerary is already in progress, but that'd be dope. |

I seriously doubt it will cause any problems.
I once had a ticket IAD-DXB-KHI with a stopover in DXB. My plans changed and I needed to go to KHI earlier than planned but there were no seats on EK so I tossed DXB-KHI and bought a ticket on another airline. I figured I wouldn't get the miles for IAD-DXB-KHI since the miles are only given once you complete the trip. However, to my surprise, miles for IAD-DXB posted a little while later despite me skipping a part of the ticket. |
