Upgrade question
 
I managed to get wait listed for d class for a flight in May, it now shows y class and j class confirmed. Do I need to call them to do anything? Will they deduct the miles at check in? :confused:

It won't be automatic, you need to authorise the deduction. So either call frequently to check or just wait till check-in.

It gave me the seat choice and let me book the car just didn't deduct the miles. It did say confirmed for y and j.

I called and the y ticket was cancelled and j confirmed again. I then tried to waitlist for the one remaining y flight I have from gva and the agent asked me how I got wait listed for d availability :D

I also learned today that your MMB will reflect your original ticket baggage allowance and some other things... as they don't issue new tickets for upgrades.
