Emirates cabin services in F stars from the rear seat then forward. So if you looking for the quickest services flow and first pick (platinum gets first request for showers and food) on the menu, I'd suggest a rear seat row 3/4. However, I like 2A & K, I have no idea why other than habit, I'm not a fan of row 1 due to the curtain and light shinning through plus guest gathering on the rare occasion and talking to the crew.
777 (evening flight) 1K 380 (night) 2K 777 (day) 1K 777 (day) 1A Not sure if I should change the 777 legs to 2K in light of your comments? Also just noticed 1K is right behind the galley so might go 2K on the night flight. |
Well, personally I prefer not to sit in the front row, especially on the older Skycruiser 777. At night it might not make any difference (maybe except for the light emerging from the galley), but during daytime the seats in row 2 create a more spacious feeling as you don't have to look at the (quite ugly) bulkhead, and, if I remember correctly, you've got one more window at your disposal. Additionally, if you are sitting in row 2, there's nobody looking over your shoulder.

Why wouldn't they? They change planes constantly?

I thought it was dine on demand. If so, there's no advantage to sitting towards the front or the rear as regards food choice.

for some reason I (and many others) prefer 2K on the A380. I have no idea why, but we just do haha.

People generally prefer the right side of the cabin over the left because it feels more natural. As humans, our brains are hardwired to prefer things that are situated on the right.
