Joined Skywards program
 

So I set up me and the wife on the skywards program and got the membership numbers and fake card etc until I do my first flight... however I haven't received any email from them to confirm the membership plus I signed up to the mileage accelerator for Jan and it says they send a confirmation email but neither me or my wife have received an email to confirm.

Does anyone think that they don't bother emailing anymore and it's taken has a given now that I have been set-up online?

Not a big issue but normally you would get emails to confirm a new membership?

By any chance, is your email a hotmail? I think I remember there being a problem with emirates/skywards emails not reaching the recipient. I don't remember if I got an email when i first signed up for skywards bc of how long ago it was, but usually most airlines do send a confirmation when you sign up for their FF program. If you don't have a hotmail, just give skywards a call to make sure it went through all fine.

That's interesting. I set both accounts up with our respective hotmail accounts.

Should I be worried about it, as does that mean I will never receive emails from Emirates?

The online logging in on skyward is fine and works.

I cant remember either what happened when I first joined - my account is yahoo but DH has a hotmail account and never had a problem receiving emails from EK - they all come through OK.

Check the spam folder as well.

Well it seems it's working now guys! The email confirming my membership came at midnight instead of about 3pm earlier in the day when i signed up! lol
