HiFly? Delta likes used frames too...
I am not sure I fully understand EK needing the A380 line to be open - so they get new frames, but what about the ones they need to retire? Does having the line open simply anchor the price for the secondary market?

That, but also availability of spare parts and maintaining the tooling for them. If there's no need for new A380s Airbus will eventually change the tooling and utilise the space for other more in-demand models. To continue producing parts for the A380 will become too expensive eventually. Especially large parts like doors, gears, hydraulics, if an A380 gets hit by a catering truck the door might need replacing. Who's going to manufacture that door and at what price?

A6-EBV (withdrawn B777-300ER) is registered as VQ-BZA for Azur Air, but no evidence on whether it's left DXB yet or not.
Meanwhile, A6-EMV (B777-300) is seen on the ground at DWC, perhaps preparing for a flight out to XMN for maintenance and cabin fitting.
