I recommend going behind to the J bar and hang out for a bit ........ It's lively there and fun. The F bar is a dud........ it's more like a shelf with drinks.

I've never seen anyone there.

It also gets turned into a mini-spa with a waterfall and shower products halfway through the flight. At least on the few flights I've been in F on an A380.

A380 First Class Seating.

Yes more like a self service counter for a few sandwiches and higher end drinks. As mentioned hardly ever get anyone gathering around there.

According to seatguru.com, seat 1F has more legroom on of the A380 version. Is that correct?

I will be flying SIN->DXB (EK355) and DXB-IAH (EK211) on the A380 next year.

How good or bad is this cabin for flying as a couple? It looks like it's a far cry from SQ Suites but better than CX F.

I quite like it, it's not like j ie you aren't going to be able to hold hands but that's a good thing :D

There are loads of pics available showing the middle seats, they are in my view designed for independent travellers as when the divider is up you are totally screened, again a good thing on long haul f with the wife :D

:D Yeah, that's what it looked like from the pics.

What about 1F having more leg room? Is that accurate? I'm pretty tall.

I've only sat in 1e and f on the 77w

I never noticed on the 380 any difference except 1 and 4 a or k which have less windows.

How strictly do the shower attendants guard the door of the lavs? I will be traveling with the GF on EK222 in Nov, when it switches to the A380.

;)

If you have booked a shower one or both are around whilst you are 'in residence'. In the middle of a night flight I have got up to use the bathroom and often nobody has been around.

The LH A380 F bathrooms are more adequate.

Technically the max occupancy is 2 people, so it wouldn't be breaking any rules to have more then one person in there at a time ;)

That is very true I did chuckle to myself when I saw it actually states above the door "2 people maximum in shower"

So for a slim ish couple I think there is enough room to have a shower together :)
