Upgrade payment

I was able to get an upgrade on MAN-DXB on the a380 to business but could not pay through my cards for some reason but got the upgrade thankfully. They guy on the phone told me that I can pay on manchester airport. Can some one tell me where in manchester airport is the ticketing office because surely you cant pay at check in as I have tried it before.

Also I booked in for the complimentary pick up. Do they really send a limo??

I don't know specifically about MAN, but in SIN for example, at one end of the EK check in desks there is a ticketing counter where you can make payments.

The pick up is a chauffeur driven car, usually a Mercedes/ BMW/ Audi (Volvo or Chevrolet in Dubai).

Depends on what you class as a limousine. Pretty nice cars, but if you are thinking about stretched limousines, then no

Is there a service desk by the check in desks? If so, ime, they can handle payments

the EK ticketing office is directly opposite the EK check-in counters at T1.

You dont ve to pay any additional taxes if you upgrade DXB-MAN, so if you are making the return journey, then its worth switching your upgrade. Personally i find the 85 quid very expensive, but thats UK APD for u!

Are you sure its opposite the check in counters? because ive flown from manchester quite a few times and must have missed it.

Anyway I had to pay additional tax of 45 quid for one-way which is not bad in my opinion.
