It should however be noted that the Millenium hotel charges AED 50/hr for wireless internet. If you intend to actually do work at the hotel and need internet access, it is usually cheaper for you to book somewhere else than to use the Millenium at those horrendous rates.

Don't expect that :) I've used a discounted pre-paid rate of AED 660 for the entire night just 2 weeks ago (which is still available, but now at 650+65=715 AED). The cheapest room with a non-special-offer rate is 750+75=825 AED.

And you can use the airport WiFi (free of charge) if you need to post at FT ;)

What to do of the others???????????????????

Used the T3 transit hotel couple of weeks ago as EK wouldn't stump for the Hotel, 12 hour layover but there was a flight we could have taken with only a 11.55 minute layover, I kid you not.
Anyhow transit hotel worked out about £140, very nice and would use it again.EK really did shoot themselves in the foot as we checked into the hotel at 10pm and then headed to the F lounge. We had a lovely 3 course meal and drank loads of Verve Cliquot and headed back to the hotel at 2am, the hotel for the night would have cost them a lot less:D
The food and service in the DXB T3 F lounge is up there with the best^
