EK to Canton

Hi,
Emirates does not show any availability from Karachi to Guangzhou or Dubai to Guangzhou on 14th or 15th April. But expert flyer shows plenty of seats. I know the seats are blocked and they are available through EK's different countries websites like UK or Germany.
The question I have is: Should I wait for the blocked seats to open up until a few days before the flight or is it completely hopeless and I should make alternative plans?
Thanks.
Sufyan

Alternative plans is suggested.

Like most airlines, EK uses "inventory control" to restrict number of seats that it can sell/offer to certain region/countries. So if you're seeing KHI DXB CAN as a married segment showing all 0, and your travel date is within a week, time to move on for alternative plan. (What you could do is book KHI DXB and DXB CAN separately on the website but there will be risks involved and price may be high)

All flights to CAN are heavily overbooked. There is even one extra flight EK3364 on 14th, overbooked by 30 pax.

Yeah CAN has high loads, my cousin couldn't get a seat especially with the big exhibition going on. He routed to DXB-KUL-CAN-DXB with KUL-CAN on AK

Also, the CAN route is very heavily utilised by frequent flyers. When I flew on the flight 3 weeks ago there were 172 Golds in Economy Class alone!!! This means almost guaranteed oversales as the Golds can use their "guaranteed seat" benefit even once the flight sells out.
