How will I kill time waiting for FT to chunter through those retro desktops now??

I am distraught.

Seriously though, is this happening across the rest of the lounge network, or is this LHR scaling up capacity to deal with the new 380 flights?

The business centre has been moved to the other corner by the gate to the aircraft.

EK to have its own lounge in IST. So after BA, EK will be the only other airline at TK's hub to offer a non-contract lounge.

What lounge is EK using at DFW?

Zol Feb 5, 2012 1:04 pm

EK is currently fitting out a lounge in CMB

Great news. The lounge they currently use at CMB is quite sad.

With Milan going 3 Daily what are the chances a Lounge will open here?

Same applies with Moscow and Rome which have/are rumored to get A380 and 3rd Daily.

The Asahi on tap in Tokyo lounge looks so enticing.

The Prague lounge looks woefully miserable though. Red Label??!!

PRG lounge is a typical Euro Menzies 3rd party lounge and is awful v other Emirates lounges (be they 3rd party or not)....if affordable, use the PRG airport VIP service which takes you to a lounge below T1....

Expensive yes, but they check in for you and also take your luggage, etc....

Just heard from the EK checkin staff at CMB that the new lounge should be open in the next couple of weeks. Too bad I just missed it.

I can't see that anyone has answered this post - I am wondering the same thing.

I am flying into to DFW on AA, so can access their Club lounge with my AMEX card. But I am connecting to EK Business Class, so I wondered if EK has built a lounge or has a Partner lounge access? I have checked the EK website, and they still do not list DFW anywhere on either their EK lounge or their Partner lounge page.

Emirates May Have a Lounge at IAD (Currently in talks at MWAA)

Hi all,
Sorry, first time poster in this forum, did a quick search and saw nothing on an IAD Lounge. I have it on very good authority (a source in MWAA that has yet to lead me wrong on many things) that Emirates is negotiating for lounge space at IAD. Three possible locations:

Share with Virgin Atlantic
Take over old Northwest World Club (A-12)
Build out a new lounge, at gates A24-26.

At the moment the flights will fly in/out of gates B45/47.

My source did not know if now that AA has closed their lounge (at COB today), if Emirates will also look at taking over that space given it would be closer to their gates than the existing three options under consideration.

Anybody got any reviews on the CMB lounge? Going soon and want to know what to expect?

Its brand new, probably been in operation for 2 months. Pretty big, standard EK seating, has showers. Big flat screen TV. Food selection was a little poor but given my flight was at 2.55am I guess its excusable.

Good drinks selection including Veuve champagne, which I happily tanked up on.

Service was great as well, my glass was topped up while I sat in front of the TV watching Sweden vs England!

Loung is easy to miss, its just before the long walkway off which the aero bridges are. You have to take a lift upto the second floor. Its just before the Serendiva transit hotel. If you cant find it ask one of the security guards in blue, they are usually very helpful.

Overall I'd say its a great lounge.

I travel 2 times a year HKG - GLA . The GLA lounge must be a good contestant for least relaxing lounge on Emirates network? Also the food is just drinks and snacks. Anyone know if Emirates are planning their own lounge for GLA now that they are going to have 2 flights a day?

In the CMB lounge as we speak. Very new and very nice. Great view of 7 of the Aerobridges (including the EK plane tonight). Food looks very nice and desserts great. Selection of spirits its nice, everybody greeted me but I wasnt sure of the etiquette when it came to drinks. I just helped myself to a beer from the fridge as the nice gentleman chatted away to me. Great big TV showing CNN. A business centre and prayer room.

Biggest surprise is that about an hour and a half before the flight to DXB there are only 2 people in the lounge and that includes me.
