I was always under the impression that if you took a friend to any lounge they had to have a ticket / boarding pas for the same flight, although I could be wrong.

definitely gorge. the amount of refund on air pass is ridiculous.
if i were in your shoes, i'd be somewhat upset about this max 3 month rule... so i'd get my money's worth. you could do the online check-in, but since EK probably has your skywards account attached to both of these itineraries, i wonder if the system will detect something when you check in for the second flight. you should check in KUL flight first, just in case you have problems with the oman flight. you don't want to get stuck with the wrong one! i can just see it now... [EK agent] I'm sorry sir, you are already checked in with dxb-mus and I cannot reverse that. re: the ek agent.. my fear also! which is why i was asking... the original plan was to check into KUL at J counter.. walk a distance.. and go to F counter and check in for MCT. I plan to bring a friend.. and I hope he'll take the same roman attitude i'm going to. |

Please note:
Members and accompanying guest must be departing on the same Emirates flight. Though this is for Golds in Y/ J. Don't know about F. |
I was flying F SYD-DXB-DAM, while my mate was flying Y MEL-DXB-BEY, me gold him blue.
We both arrived around the same time into DXB, and we had agreed to meet up at the F lounge. The lounge dragon (she was more of a lady actually), was pretty easy going. First she said that he has to be flying on the same flight. I then said to her, we're going into the same direction, and besides we're just gonna sit and talk, i'm sure you could make an exception. She was sure, ok. That was Sep 09. |

When you fly in/out of Dubai, your travel details get sent to the immigration authorities and it comes up on their screen when you hand them your travel docs at passport control.
If there are two 'outbound' itineraries that are tagged to your passport, you might get 'special' attention.. |

Dont know if i mentioned this.. but I talked to emirates.. and they said my ticket had a lot of restrictions because one way was J and the other was Y.. they said I had to pay 1200 AED in order to extend the ticket (that is.. upgrading the remaining flight from Y to J) I'll report back results in 2 weeks.. |
I've been wondering. What happens if you've got a fully refundable ticket and check in, go to the lounge, and then decide not to fly? Is it still fully refundable?
