LY F vs. C class

I have 2 trips planned to TLV this year.

I have enough miles to go F both times.

the question is (assuming i can find award space) how much better is First class?
Is the Business class product decent?

Does it feel like a premium product?

is the seat ok? service ect?

its only 50K miles more for F. Is this a good use of miles? or is J enough?

As far as I know all 777 were "upgraded" to 777-200 - Meaning the new F/C seats.
I have not been on these but as you can read from other threads on this forum many people say the new F is really bad compared to the old one - And does not worth the extra points/money - However, I encourage you to read the related threads for more accurate views.
The service was always great for me in both C and F, I really like the LY service on their premium products.
Out of curiosity - 50k miles? How do you get an LY F from 50k miles? What program is that?

F vs C...

First, EL-AL's program is not by miles but by pointes... and i dont think
it goes somewhere near 50k or more... i think first to nyc is around 4200
points.

As for the seats..., If its the new or the upgrade 777, Then There is
no much difference between F and C seats, Beside the Color (Grey vs Blue)
and the angle (Full bed in F, i think 165 in C - But if you are really tired, you
wont notice the different).

Beside the seats, I think there is a big different in the service, which i will
have to recommend to go on First... 8-)

Since you are doing it with points, i would consider recommending you to
pay additional fee (i think its 50 to 100$) so someone from EL-AL will wait
to you at the gate (after landing in IL) and help you with the exit process
(drive you by car to passport check / pass you thru special passport check
process, Picking up your lugage and so on...)

Thanks,
Eran.

When you return please tell us your opinion. It's interesting that on AA you can fly LY in F but with Delta miles one cannot.

It's most likely due to the nature of the agreement between LY and DL. I would think that DL does not have a reward level (F/C) for a class of service which they themselves do not operate internationally.

You can no longer use SkyMiles to get any award ticket on El Al but in the days when you could Delta permitted you to fly F.

The problem was that El Al was very unpredictable as to what seats, if any, it would make available to Delta, sometimes opening them only a day or two before the flight.
