True although with a long bus ride to T3 often resulting in a long bus ride back to the T1 area to board from the stairs. This will certainly help to make T3 less crowded, although the lounges will probably be just as crowded. I seem to remember going to the lounge at the old T1 many years ago - off on the far right side of the gate area. Wonder if they'll open that up again.
I would think all that really "matters" to the IAA is that those passengers are able to load up on duty free junk. So as long as they open up an outpost in T1, they should be fine, and can do away with the expensive and wasteful schlepping operation. Heck, they manage to run little DF kiosks in a whole ton of US terminals that have 1-4 flights a day to Canada. |
