computer case allowed?

I am flying TLV-MXP tonight with my daughter. I am Matmid Peasant (no status) she is not even a Matmid member.

It has been a long time since I have flown on LY. What is the current situation with hand luggage? Do they actually weigh it? If I have a second bag (about the size of a briefcase) with a laptop inside, will that be permitted or does it have to go into my rollerboard?

It's probably too late for you but:
Usually they don't really care about hand luggage

Houminer--I would disagree. They are, many times weighing and tagging hand luggage AND, at least at JFK they stand and watch passengers coming down the jetway and stop those who seem to have too much!

I was talking about TLV, during bording I never saw them check hand luggage, even on 737's and overbooked flights.
