Why does it make you laugh? Is there something inherently humorous about Boeing wanting EL AL to take a/c it built for a now defunct airline which are not up to LY's specifications and without compensation to boot? Kindly explain.

OK, we all agree Boeing pays for the retro-fit, and that it makes sense only if it takes less then two months. So, if they leave it at it, no need for further compensation, right?

As if we're actually negotiating on behalf of El Al and Boeing.

I'm all for that for things like service & seats, but I doubt very much they make choices about taking aircraft early based on FT.
However, it never hurts listening (or in this case, reading) the opinions of those outside of the organization, even on forums like this one. |

Nobody reads this forum. Liat, as well-intended as she may be, is just a cosmetic olive branch, as are all the TP/PL "concierge" folks - who have to constantly run interference with the fat cows in order to get the simplest of benefits for the best customers. Its just cosmetics. |
While harsh, I do feel that post was 100% spot-on.
