LY is better

I just saw your post and was anxious to answer. I just flew both Lufthansa and El Al in May to/from Israel. El Al was the hands down winner. The crew on both were fine, but, the seats on LY were much more comfortable and the LY plane was more roomy. There was very little place to get up and move on the Lufthansa jet (A340) - but the downstairs bathroom configuration was pretty cool!

Lastly, you really can't compare a flight INTO Israel on El Al to any other carrier. There really is no comparison...

There was a downstairs bathroom on the A340

Where were you flying from? What routings/carriers did you fly?

Mind explaining what you mean by that??

In regards to your other comments, the OP is talking about flying Business, while I assume your experience was in Economy.

Why would you assume he was flying in Y? The only thing that sticks out, making me assume Y, is that he says "the seats were more comofortable and roomy on LY than on LH"

Now that you posted that, I seem to remember hearing something along those lines

And why do you assume it's a "he"... ;)

Anyway, you kind of answered your own question, so that plus...

...just sounds like he/she were flying Y, but of course I might be wrong.
