Why would a TPL on a bonus ticket get it, but not a TPL buying up?

Its much easier get I or C and upgrade to A than taking a P,
Think about all the times EL-AL was suppose to send me Car Service
when I took I and upgraded to A...
For me, sometimes it would be even worth taking I over D since Taxi is around 120$ from where i live, then on the destination it will be 60Euro/80$ in average.
Not to mention the service i get in the airport (Shorter Security, They take of my luggage on check-in/Landing.. Shortly it makes the difference between D and I seamless.

No to mention that if you are a good TPL (which break every Qx his last year Qx average you get additional upgrade vouchers for free) it make it not economic to give the same P (F on Bonus) service on A (C/I Upgrade to F)

Arggggggggggh!,
1. Security line on C is not that bad

2. You can make UniPass (then the question is, will it work?)

3. You can call Sherut Shalom

4. Come un-shaved with Jalabia, Believe me they will see you from Far away
and make sure you pass security very fast (its also possible the security guy on the entrance to the terminal will escort you directly to the security guy in C line)

If one of the above didnt helped you getting the security line, then I am sorry...

(Bolding mine)

Haha!! But why would you pass security fast?

aubreyfromwheaton Jan 29, 2011 2:34 pm

I bet you can skip to the front of the line even in coach if you have Proteksya

First, I didnt talked about passing fast the security, I was talking getting to that point.
No matter if you are F or C, security is security and if the person infront of you decide to question stupid things (I could write a book with the stupid questions i was asked in airports by israeli security people!)

Coming with the Jalabia, Might speed of security as sometimes cavity check take less time then the questions! ;)

No, Proteksya wont help there, But 200$ will help!
(using the Royal Service / Arbel Lounge services will give you personal
security check at the comfort of the sofa in the lounge...)
(forgot to add this as 5th option)

I disagree....proteksiya (Vitamin P) will help you with virtually everything in Israel

I insist!, having an ex-girl friend which was a selector at the time we were friends, and having some of the shifts manager friends of us, never helped me to advance fast in line.

You should understand that its a mouse & cat game in the airport, The Selectors are being tested every day few times, there are no discount there.

(Today i am sure that if she was still a selector, i would have special proteksia on getting the cavity check!)

Actually, I have to disagree. In the past my cousin was a manager of the selectors / security and it made a big difference once when travelling with the whole family - before I was gold, whilst living abroad.

I agree with economyman:
Slectors I knew took me out of the line.
Once a Selector I knew was standing in the gate. I beeped but he told me it's OK.
I don't think it's protektsia. If they know you then you are not a security threat.

Maybe if she was current and no ex, things would've been different :p

I know someone who's a manager of one of the security teams there...no waiting for me (usually)

Well maybe things changed, we are talking 10+ years ago...
As for current or ex, The current is also the one booking tickets in the office (we work together)... So having fast security check or flying business class,
i would take the business class!;)
