4X-ELD on strike?
4X-ELD hasn't been in service since Sep. 30, anybody know why?
Perhaps one of the following is the reason, what do you guys think?
1) Being used as charter flights for the Nigerian ...... like last year (doubt it, as haven't seen a sign of it operating anywhere it seems more likely to be grounded).
2) Having Avod installed.
3) Having some new seats installed.
4) Some technical issue.
5) Simply not needed in current low season, so has been parked up for the time being (4X-ELE also hasn't operated since the 26th, and only 1 flight scheduled today with a B744).

I think 4X-ELE is flying to London as 315 on Wednesday 3rd. I am on that flight with my wife which was meant to be a 777 and was changed this morning. The business class has the tel-tale extra half row on the upper deck which indicates it must be 4X-ELE!

Well, in the end the aircraft was not 4X-ELE but 4X-ELA, despite the seat map ... however, our return flight on Sunday 7th (which showed a 'standard' upper deck seat map) was indeed on 4X-ELE!

4X-ELE is a relatively new purchase from Singapore Airlines. EL AL kept their seats (at least in business and first) which most passengers reckon are much better than the 'new' EL AL seats.
It is easy to spot on a seat plan, as it has an extra half row of seats on the right hand side (HK) of the upper deck.
If you are in First, row 2 has 30cm more legroom, than the other two rows (but there is less space in the middle between AC and HK).
