UK261

LGW to JTR (Santorini) flight was delayed and arrival was 3 hours and 3 mins late according to Flight Aware. We were cited 'technical delay' but is anyone able to tell me where I may find the correct reason for delay. 30/7/24 EZY 8241.

To complicate matters it was booked via Expedia - not sure if it does complicate stuff or not?

Thank you

It doesn’t matter how you booked your flight. Contact easyJet direct, the link to claim is below. If you have been told by anyone at easyJet that the delay was caused by technical issues with the aircraft, I’d rely on that.

Here’s the link, if you have any questions when completing it please come back:

Thank you and apologies for the late reply.

The claim was submitted via Easyjets form but they initially said they couldn't find the booking - all details were correct paying particular attention to the flight reference (7 digits). Back to them via their contact form and the complaints form and nothing yet. What is the best course of action here please?

Thanks for any help.

easyJet have 8 weeks in which to respond to your claim. If there is no resolution in that time period you can issue a complaint via Aviation ADR - you will find the link to their website below. If you need any assistance please do come back. Oh, and please let us know how you get on 👍🏻

Make sure that you are not referring to the Expedia reservation No. You need the EasyJet PNR/reservation No.

Thank you it was definitely Easy Jets PNR.

A partial result tonight. After contacting them via X (formerly Twitter) we've had an email confirming UK261 is payable at the rate of £350. It should be £700 for both pax as the claims form asks for all pax details so not sure other than laziness why they haven't done it properly. We've emailed back but suspect we may have to start a single claim.
