I just an email confirming my continuing participation in the full roll-out. The benefits haven’t changed. In the Press release they missed a very useful benefit; price matching against a competitor. The way it works is if there is a competitor flight that departs within an hour either side of the easyJet flight and the competitor flight is cheaper, the they will refund the difference and give you an extra 10%. This works very well for me as on my EDI-STN-EDI weekly commute FR have flights that fall in to this category. Almost every U2 flight I book is more expensive than the nearest FR flight so I always get a useful voucher for each block of flights I book.
The other big benefit is the fee-free changes. This has saved me a sizeable chunk of cash over the last 18 months of so. In a lot of cases the cost of the change fee plus the fare difference is more than buying a new ticket, so in the past I’ve just ‘thrown away’ the flight and bought a new ticket. Those who criticise the scheme as not being a ‘true’ FFP are missing the point entirely. U2 are not going to run an expensive ‘Avios’ type programme. I’m very much okay with that as the other benefits, in my opinion, are worth way more than a ‘free’ flight. The money I’ve saved in change fees and received in vouchers for price matching, have been worth much more than a flight. |

Have they started contacting people who were not in the pilot scheme to offer membership? I haven't heard anything, though as mentioned up thread, I am probably a borderline case based on number of sectors, so maybe I won't make it.

How is this working? I have nearly booked 20 flights with Easyjet. Will i soon receive an email inviting me to this program?
|
I doubt it. "Nearly" qualifying is the same as not qualifying. ;)

Doubt I'll use it that much but we'll see. |

Both myself and a frequently travelling (> 50 Easy segments/year) colleague have been invited. Other less travelling colleagues (30-50) have not.

It looks like EasyJet Plus is too much of a money-maker for them to ditch it in favour of a FF scheme with benefits like other FF programmes.

I think it is a terrible scheme. I got invited for this, didn't even know just happened to skim through my junk folder and saw it. Checked it now, don't see any benefit to me. Since it's all paid for travel, if I have to change dates - company picks up the tab.
Unless they add in seat selection and/or fast track (which again is of limited use) may look at it again. But as others have pointed out, it would cannabilise their easyjet plus programme |

I wouldn't call it terrible. Obviously for you it is not as useful as all travels/changes etc paid by the company. If you have to pay for your own ticket and consequently changes then it seems quite good.
On some routes easyjet walk-up fares can remain quite competitive, so it's not a bad thing to know you can reschedule without paying those admin fees. |

I agree here. If you're flying a mix of business and leisure it's not too bad. If you have a weekend trip where plans change then you can find another weekend with low fares quite easily. I had the case where a change cost me about 10£ whereas it would have been 150£ otherwise with admin fees.

one draw back is that you have to call them and they are 'only' open 0800 - 2000.
