If you're asking if any of us have held off the futures then bought 2000's, 2003's or 2005's at auction, I'd suspect a great many savvy wineophiles have done so. The issue at hand is that none of us will be able to take your approach with the 2008's till 2010-2011. ^

I was interested in reading of your results with earlier futures bets, plus cases where you have perhaps bought some vintages at auction.

Has anyone investigated and perhaps bought at French auctions, including the recent Cru auction, this year?

It's out of my price range and I'm paying down mortgage debts, so it's just vicarious interest at play, downunder. :)
(I can only share my story of buying some cellared-release 2000 vintage wine 2-3yrs ago, which is now being offered at 2.5x that price by the same outlet).
