I think I like it better than Hell's kitchen, it is not QUITE as.....pathetic(I mean that in the best way possible, pathetic cooking show keeps me watching) :)

It turns out this guy was the first chef of hell's kitchen and Ramsey is the ripoff.

Speaking of ripoffs, Hell's Kichen is a neighborhood on Manhattan's west side.

Couple of questions for the folks here.

Why is Lacey on the show? She seems to have no culinary skills whatsoever. I realize that there is a certain amount of "Big Brother" casting going on, but come on!

What did Colleen say on her way out? My DVR chopped off that snippet and I have not been able to find it online. Please, please tell me she said something like "Ramsey has a lot to learn." :D

She said, she hopes Ramsey will come to teach at her school one day :rolleyes:

Clearly playing a role much like "Ross the Intern" on the Tonight Show. I was surprised at the moment when Jean Philippe asked him to remove the yarmulke. At a bar mitzvah? :confused:

Wow! Almost as good as Jen asking for a reference last year.

I have gotten the feeling after the past few years that the casting is in three groups - people who have a decent chance of winning, dark horses, and contestants that offer nothing more than good entertainment. Lacey fits squarely in the last group. No sane person would hire her to do anything but she keeps the show interesting. In my opinion, Giovanni, Robert, Carol, Ji and Andrea were in the first group, Coleen, Lacey, Seth and Charlie were in the last group, and the rest were the dark horses.

I think the best line of the week was when Robert said that Lacey needed to get a chef job at a psycho ward so that she could get free therapy.

I think it was just purely because Jean Phillipe had a huge beef with him and also knew that since the bar mitzvah planner wasn't Jewish, that he should remove it for respect.

I love Robert. He's had some of the best lines I've ever heard on that show. :D

He and Giovanni are the best cooks as well. He just needs to get portion control and plating down to fit in the new modern restaurant style more.

I thought Robert was hilarious tonight. Between his pants splitting and my all time favorite quote: "Dude, do I look like I eat pea tendrils?" ^ :D

tasting by all of them was just horrendous, I can't believe anyone calls themselves a chef and can't ID a few of those items. turnips, those are so easy to identify!

Anyway, I think Carol is trying to one up Lacey or something, can't she see how pathetic she has been on service now? Ramsey just likes the drama. Carol would not even reply to Andrea asking for communications. (I think she was trying to get Andrea kicked out more than cooking her own foods)

giovanni I think may win it all, he can't get Carol and Andrea to work together but it wasn't for lack of trying, he is clearly a leader but was sadly absent in tonight's service to get them on duty and talking.

Agree. I think someone else may have said it already, but Lacey was brought on because the producers knew she would be a lightning rod for controversy. She was one of the worst I've ever seen on that show.

Carol is way too focused on getting Andrea off. I'm not thrilled with Andrea either, but at least she is more focused on her own cooking rather than what Carol is doing.

I thought that LA would've been eliminated an episode ago as she was exposed for "being a line cook." It's just that she happened to be covered by J who was absolutely despicable the week prior. As for Lacey, yeah. They made a point earlier in the show when they were saying to her, do you really honestly think that you could be the head chef of a restaurant at Borgata? Yeah, that just summed it up there.

As for Fox's crappy editing: I would love to see how they escalate the "feud" between Andrea and Carol. Would make for great ratings.

Does Hell's Kitchen end next week with Danny being declared the winner?
