i love kitchen nightmares, but the more i watch the more i think elements of the show are rigged
|
IT IS ABOUT TIME Forrest Gump, or Seth, was kicked off the show. Ramsay's comment that he was a crap cook was a big understatement.
And LOL at Lacey being a part of the blue team. I think the show is starting to reach a bit, with Ramsay telling everyone to hit the showers, in front of all the restaurant patrons. Although it won't stop me from watching! |
I think this group of 'chefs' must have been pulled of the streets or something.
That lobster spaghetti would have been something Fazolli's fast food would reject it looked so horrible. The salads had no presentation either. Seth's scallops wow, they looked like shriveled white raisins. Those beef wellington did not even look good, the crusting was all messed up on them in a big way. The tomato butter sauce of Ben's should have been enough to cut him if Seth was not so pathetic day after day. I am not a 'food critic' but I certainly can tell foods that would not fit on a top of the line restaurant menu, and none of those foods would. That breakfast better be glad they were serving kids :) I do not really look at this show however as a presentation of a chef's abilities as much as one following the whims of Ramsey and his recipe set. Ramsey's food is awful tired and boring no creativity in it at all, and he seems to shun creativity in the show as well. |
Colleen and Lacey are becoming impossible.

This show would be fantastic if they selected better contestants.
Still, I do like the show, and their finale is many times better than the one that Top Chef has. Although, if I remember correctly, last season they had Whoopi Goldberg on the finale, but for no other reason to say hi? |
The right person left....
|
I more or less agreed with Chef Ramsay overruling both teams and eliminating Colleen, who somehow got lost in the mix. But if I were to pick from the 2 nominated, J would've left.
I'm slightly surprised Ramsay put up with Robert. I always thought he imposed himself on his pool of chefs, no matter how unreasonable the request. I honestly believed Ramsay would've told Robert to shove it and deal with it, but I guess people change. I think Lacey's "transformation" will be short lived. Oh and did anybody notice how the camera keeps shaking when people get really agitated? First it was Ben smashing stuff around in a previous episode. Did the show's makers really want us to believe people breaking stuff would shake a whole building? :D |

As bad as Colleen is; I think J should have gone last night. I cannot imagine any of the remaining chefs winning.

A few notes on the most recent episode of Hell's Kitchen
-Carol failed big time during the challenge. Blue cheese? Why not just try regular old cheddar cheese? -Seeing Lacey in the hottub made me throw in my mouth a little. -The cameo by that wedding planner/bar mitzvah planner was HILARIOUS. -I think Ramsay nominating Andrea was a curve ball he threw at the red team, interesting but the wrong person. -I would love to see Andrea and Carol go at it. Meow. -Coi getting eliminated was the right choice. Before this past episode, she seemed like she just blended right in. |

Lacey, the spa period, robert too, Robert is a lot better cook than Lacey but yuck leave the spa treatments behind locked doors!!! Wedding planner, I may want to know some history there I really don't know, but he was as LA said 'parade' ready. Coi was weakest with the burgers, no excuse for that. Both brisket plates looked terrible. I know 45 min is not long to fix brisket but so much better could have been done. |
This show is really annoying me....
Now NBC has a ripoff of it I am checking out, it seems like the host there is going an opposite than Ramsey. (Marco Pierre White.....Ramsey's mentor is the star chef mentor on it) |
I kind of thought Ramsay would've kicked J off at the end of the show. The whole charade they made at the end was just overdone.
I'll have to take a look at the NBC ripoff show. Sounds interesting. |
The only reason Lacey is still around is because she annoys her team so much and it makes for good TV. With so many strong chefs this season, I was really hoping the show would focus more on the cooking drama and less on the soap opera aspects. Oh well.
NBC, hunh? What's the show called? When does it start? |
