Lime-favored light beer
I took a chance and bought a Miller Chill last night, because they were selling onesies at a local bodega, and I had seen commercials for the Bud version so I thought - what the hell?
It was surprisingly good. At least as good as a Corona with a lime in it, if not better (probably fresher). I'd drink it again. Anyone else tried these summer concoctions? They are not in the same class as the disgustingly sweet flavored malt liquors (Smirnoff Ice, etc.). It was actually quite refreshing. |
Yes I have also tried it recently. I did enjoy it though I prefer Coronas with lime and salt. :p:cool:

Something, to me, feels quite wrong about buying my additives already in my beer. If I want lime in the beer, why not cut one up, versus going for simu-lime flavor?
Just my $0.02. Cheers, -Andrew |
When it comes to adding citrus to my beer, I'd rather do it with beer that actually tastes like beer. My preference is weissbier with either an orange or a lemon.

I tried one of those Miller Chills last weekend. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Not as tasty as say a belgian white with a slice of orange in it...but a nice summer beer.

I thought it was weird when I first saw it advertised. I haven't tried it yet, but we were at a camping trip last weekend with a couple dozen people. Ther first night there were two six packs of it. The second night pretty much everybody bought some. It all went before I could grab one.
So no first hand experience, only because a couple dozen other people got them all first. |
Bud Light Lime tastes better than Bud Light IMO. There are three flavored Mich Ultras, but none are in my area.
Lime Cactus A fruit-infused light pilsner with natural lime flavor and a floral essence derived from the cactus. Pomegranate Raspberry A pilsner with a berry aroma, raspberry flavor, and a hint of pomegranate. Tuscan Orange Grapefruit A pilsner with fresh juicy orange notes and a slight pink-grapefruit finish. |
I second that.. I like "Bood Light Lime better" it's taste better Miller Lite.. ^

The mere thought of some crappy citrus being bottled with crappy beer is disgusting. A cheap marketing gimmick that hopefully wont be around next year as another cheap marketing gimmick will surely replace it.

Perhaps we'll also get over that fad next year as well.. |

I respectfully disagree. My brother and I tried this stuff last summer and thought it was horrible. But, we must be in the minority since Bud has since introduced their own version of it, and there's something else called Landshark that I've seen advertised. Go figure.
