IBC is delicious. Dog N Suds is pretty good, too.

IBC is good, but Sprecher's Brewery in Milwaukee makes a really nice root beer (along with some other good "regular" beers).

I would have to say for me it is a tie between Henry Weinhard's and Virgil's both are great.

I'm a fan of Stewarts
|
As a kid i really liked MUG old fashioned root beer but hard to find outside of CA.
Now I generally drink A&W or Barq's |
I usually have:
IBC, Stewarts, or Boylan root beer. thats the only soda type drink I still drink... I stopped drinking all other pop. --Russ |

A&W gets my vote. We can get it here at a couple of drive ins!

Point Premium Root Beer from the Stevens Point Brewery is pretty darned tasty. (http://www.pointbeer.com/root_beer.php) And Curly's Pub in the Lambeau Field Atrium serves a good root beer, too.

I think Sprecher makes an excellent root beer if you like them on the sweeter side. I mostly drink their "lo-cal," which is probably the best of that genre...

I will put my vote out for Hires. But that is pretty much impossible to find anymore. So I will settle for A&W.
As for the creaminess, I remember learning somewhere along the way that the lower the carbonation levels the creamier the flavor/texture. So if you have a re-sealable container you can increase the creaminess of your sample:) |
