Best Milkshake!
The BEST milkshake I ever had was at an In 'N Out here in San Diego..What's the best one you've ever had and where?
|
I love the In N Out milkshakes as well...Steak N Shakes are pretty good, too.
|
In the summertime, I make my own milk shakes... to include lots of ice cream, and rum. ;) :p :D
On topic, max brenner in NYC has to die for shakes. dh |
Best milkshake ever - Mora's Ice Creamery on Bainbridge Island WA - the raspberry cheesecake and lemon heaven flavors are wonderful.
|
Every single time I am in SoCal, I must stop at an In and Out for their milkshake. Its pretty good.
Mind you I always like mine "loaded" beter. |
My all time favorite milkshake is made with Baskin Robbins' chocolate chip ice cream. This is the only one I've found so far that has such tiny chocolate pieces/shavings that you can actually drink them up through a straw. :D

Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis. It's in a questionable neighborhood but once you taste the goods, you understand why they are the only surviving business in the vicinity. It's family run and they make their own ice cream. Well worth ruining your diet! :p

If you are ever in Ft. Wayne, Indiana stop at Zesto's. ^
You won't be sorry. |
Peter's Drive-In in Calgary ~ heaps of flavours (Mango is BEST!), inexpensive @ $4 CDN and your cheeks ache when you're finished. :p

Best milkshakes are the ones I can make myself. Usually I opt for various flavors of Breyer's with crunched up Oreos mixed in. Terribly unhealthy as I estimate I've made versions well in excess of 1,000 calories but I've never had better milkshakes at a restaurant.

Planet Hollywood - San Diego.
I'm not sure if it was the state of mind or the milkshake, but it was the first White Chocolate milkshake I'd ever had (I was 13, it was 1995) and it was just a memory I'll never forget. |

It's hard to find milkshakes the way I like 'em, so I mostly make them myself.
The ideal milkshake is not a solid mass that clogs up your straw. It's thinner than what you get at the average drive in, but with lumps of ice cream. |
Babcock Hall at the University of Wisconsin dairy farm.
Let's see...the school of dairy science at the largest public university in the dairy state. Think there's a reason why everybody else is vying for second best? |
Ed Debevic's in Chicago used to serve a really good "hand mixed" one.
Steak and Shake would probably get my vote for chain fast food places. Speaking of votes...."Ed's" also gets my vote for best slogan: "Eat and Get Out" |
