Should you be passing and spending a day in Vancouver BC then some very delicious cinnamon rolls and Belgium waffles can be found at Pātisserie Lebeau - Belgian specialty store - authentic Liege Waffles made with real butter and all-natural ingredients. No icing sugar just this amazing texture and flavour - http://www.grababetterwaffle.com/ They are closed on Sundays and Mondays otherwise I would be heading there now. At airport locations? Hmm Max Bakery has a counter in domestic Vancouver - they have decent ones.

Have you been to Ann Sather's lately? Ugh...horrible!

Well, I would have to say my first choice is the rolls I make myself, but that happens pretty rarely. HIX was my first thought when I read the question, but they do have to be fresh. I have had some that sat out for a while that weren't so good. Ann Sather rolls were far too rich for my taste.

Polly's Pies- a Orange County chain. They are huge though.

Well she sold out a couple decades ago, right? She was a family friend and I started eating her cinnamon rolls back in the 60's. They were absolutely the best I've ever had. A league above the rest and two leagues above Cinnabon!

Cinnabon too, but it would be nice to find a good non-chain place too. (Are there any other American chains that do cinnamon rolls? Can't think of any right now.)

Bob Evans.

They're OK, nothing tremendous.

Cinnamon rolls at Panera are pretty good, too.

IKEA's are pretty good too.

BTW it's a pretty awesome coincidence that this thread got revived on the day that I went there and bought one. :D
