Who still drinks with breakfast

Okay, very seldom. But yesterday I had breakfast at LHR and had a glass of champagne with my smoked salmon. It seemed like the thing to do. Just one glass, and none on the flight even though I was in business. But sometimes it really adds to the breakfast. I have also had champagne or other sparkling wines with espresso and breakfast. Not much of a Bloody Mary person in general, although at times I have them.

Any one else?

Do the same

Do the same at LHR T4 in a wonderful SkyTeam Lounge.

Unless a boozy breakfast is the best part of your day, and if you treat the drink as a well-deserved indulgence, then I say go for it.

Seems like a waste not to.

Only when sitting up front.

Kalua and coffee or a mimosa please!

You do know about airport rules, right?

Off to LHR T5 now for some champagne and eggs Benedict in the BA F lounge. Come on by!

2 or 3 times per year.

Every Labor Day weekend, Mrs Willie & I host a weekend party at our cabin in N Wisconsin. Bloody Marys are served each morning.

Then a couple times per year, Mrs Willie & I will dine at a Sunday brunch and have a mimosa or other "morning" breakfast drink. This is becoming rare as with the exception of Labor Day weekend, I just don't drink that much anymore.

Ahhh one-upping my "Who Still Drinks With Lunch?" thread are we? :D

I will but only while traveling. Mimosa, vodka with OJ, Cranberry with OJ, baileys, whiskey in my coffee...you name it! If I'm awake, if I'm in First/Business I'm drinking!

I had my nice breakfast champagne and saw your thread and well, I'm weak. ;)

I'll often do it when on vacation and somewhat less frequently when at home on the weekend if having a nice brunch with friends. Never to start a work day, even if it's free. I can enjoy a drink or two with lunch, but if I hit it in the morning my focus just isn't there for the work day.

As far as the actual morning drinks go, I like bloody marys, but only the first few sips. Just too heavy for me to enjoy a whole glass. Mimosas are ok but I don't like all the sugar. Give me vodka with a nice tart grapefruit juice, or some sugar free red bull!

Last breakfast at LHR T5 F Lounge started with a glass of champers, followed by a glass of Catena Malbec that went well with the back bacon, couple of bangers, a slice of black pudding and some white beans/tomato sauce. Even indulged in a second glass of the Malbec :)

Obviously, when on vacation. Other than that... Our annual British Open Saturday and Sunday get-together at a friend's house. And rest assured, it ain't no mimosas or Kaluha and coffee.
