McDs does own brekkie, but I'll give Taco Bell a shot next time it's convenient. I generally allow 800-900 calories for breakfast out of my ~1800 daily intake.

Mickey D's owns breakfast. The steak bagel (no egg) has been my favorite for many years. The hashbrowns are amazing. And the McGriddle? Amazing. (Although I learned never to eat a mcgriddle and hashbrowns and drive over bumpy sugarcane roads on Kauai.)

Now you made me laugh so much that I chocked on my food. :D

No wonder some sugar crop wasn't good that year. :p

Regardless of how it may taste, they did an outstanding job of making it look unappetizing in the photo.

Hey if Ronald McDonald himself is endorsing it, it must be good.

I don't care for the McDonald's hash browns. I much prefer the little round hash browns from places like Burger King or Chick-fil-A.

Sugar crop... Ocean... It was a bad day for it all.

I hate BK's little rounds. Hm. I don't know what to make of this.

The McDonald's one seems to always be very soggy in the middle.

That is my favorite part.

The taco looks borderline edible, but the rest looks absolutely disgusting.

I think I've only ever once had taco bell as a kid - I like the idea, but my system just can't handle that kind of cheap food.

If I am eating McDonald's breakfast, I usually need the grease for a reason!

Brought Taco Bell lunch take out for my wife today. I didn't notice a breakfast menu here in Calgary. Is this just a States thing right now?

Taco Bell seems to be taking full aim at McDonalds with these new items. Have you seen the commercials? Wow. I wonder how successful they will be at cutting into McDonald's breakfast meals share. I wonder if Oak Brook is nervous.

Not if they've eaten the TB breakfast. Not good. :td::td:

I agree that they're trying to take McD's head-on. But they're going to lose that battle.

Nothing about it makes much sense.
  • The food is barely Mexican. Waffle taco? No chorizo? Heck, Whataburger's breakfast menu is more Mexican-themed than this dog's breakfast of choices.
  • Logistically, I ended up having to wait 3-4 minutes for my food, where McDonald's can throw it at me as I'm pulling up to the second window.
  • They have to staff for 7 AM openings from a crew that previously was oriented to working graveyard shifts.

IMO, they should just be offering the full menu from 7 AM, rather than messing with these off-the-wall items. That would be a differentiating entry into the AM market.

I guess Taco Bell has indeed entered into the Calgary market with their extensive brekkie menu.

I may have to go down and try one of these days. No Taco Bell around me though, so I'll have to drive out of the way.
