The McLobster; It's not half bad actually

I'm on business in Ontario and I heard about the McLobster at McDonalds through late August. I tried it. It was actually pretty good, though I can't say I recognized much lobster flavor. But, I suppose that could be because I normally eat lobster dipped in butter and this was a different setting. You can see my experience here;

Anybody else try it?

not in Canada.

years ago when the Mrs & I would get to Maine every fall, the McD's there would serve a lobster roll sandwich, which if I saw the video correctly is that the McLobster is.

Was the McD's lobster roll sandwich we had in Maine as good as a lobster roll from the independent guys? no as there isn't nearly as much lobster on it, so after trying it, we didn't need to go back when in Maine.

If McD's served it in Chicago, I would certainly have one now & then.

Like last summer, lobsters this year have been running only $5.98lb here in Chicagoland, so I've made plenty of homemade lobster roll sandwiches which are far better than anything McD's could make.

I have heard great things about the lobster roll sandwiches. Wish they had them in BC.

Dreadful here in ON! The person eating it said it was a 'celery sandwich, with a tiny bit of flavourless lobster'. Same person had a Quiznos 'seafood and lobster' sandwich yesterday and proclaimed it a million times better than the McD's rubbish!

O really. We have a Quiznos nearby. Since I thought the McLobster was OK, I suppose I'll really like the Quiznos version then. Thanks for the tip.

OK. I tried the Quizno's lobster sub tonight. It was pretty good. The meat was shredded and really tasted like imitation crab. The bread was way better though. It would be great if I could have the McDonalds filling on the Quizno's bread. O well.

I had one years ago when I was visiting Halifax in the summer. One word: nasty.

Better and similarly priced lobster rolls were being sold by vendors on the pier.

When Subway had the real lobster in the subs going, it was a good chunk of lobster meat. The Sub was like $20 for a foot long but it was a good helping of lobster received.

What's the price of a McLobster going for?

For a fast food sandwich, pretty tasty. However, gotta go in with those lowered expectations

I paid $9 something for the meal combo. It was $6.90ish for the sandwich by itself before tax.
