I'm glad someone beat me to saying this. Wawa?! Really? The thought just frightens me. Seems about as gross as eating a 7-11 hot dog.

I don't get it either. buy your own meat/cheese and bread and keep it at work to make far cheaper and better sandwiches.

I like Jimmy John's oatmeal raisin cookie.
As a result, I end up stopping in if I get a haircut in the late afternoon, as there is a Jimmy John's next door. I get a gargantuan and a cookie and that's my meal for the afternoon/evening, other than maybe some fruit or yogurt late. So I probably get it 3-4 times a year at most. |
I actually like Jimmy John's. Yes Potbellies is better but I'd vote JJ above subway. The "Vito" is a very decent sandwhich. Its just an easy place to grab a quick and cheap lunch. Just this week I was there and they handed me my order while I was signing my credit card receipt. Known for their very quick service

Jimmy John's -- I don't get it.
I hate jimmy johns. When we have business meetings and call out for lunch I refuse to allow anyone to order that crap. Potbelly is so much better. JJs is just a cold deli sandwich. Nothing special about that.

I haven't had Jimmy John's in a couple years. For some reason I remember their commercials being terrific. JJ's was my go-to choice for a quick sandwich when in college (also for the 49c loaf of bread after 4pm).
Here in Los Angeles, Jersey Mike's seems to have caught on quite a bit in terms of the larger chain-type sandwich shops. |
I agree with the OP. We get boxed lunches from them routinely at my work for business meetings and the best part is the cookie and bag of chips. They are cheaper than the non-chains in our town and therefore, a popular order to meet the corporate needs. :(

There was a jersey mikes when I lived in Scottsdale. Awful. Well below even subway.
But seeing as subway's meat is sliced from 6' logs of pre formed mixed bits & Jersey Mike's roast beef is the same as you or I would buy & roast in our home oven, I'm not sure how you can say Jersey Mike's is below Subway in terms of quality. |
I had Jimmy John's for the first term this weekend, and I got to jump onboard and say that I was severely underwhelmed by it all. Totally not worth the extra price.

obviously this is all about personal taste & if you prefer the taste of Subway to Jersey Mikes, I get it.
