The world is a better place because of...

Pick your own strawberries - covered in quality dark chocolate
Peaches in season
A perfectly broiled lobster tail with butter and lemon
A perfectly grilled ribeye with blue cheese or herb butter
My slow roasted prime rib - a regular feature on our New Years menu
Corn on the cob from Morden, Manitoba. Best on the planet.
Tojo's sushi. Tojo, YOU are the MAN
Bosc pears
Mussels in cream sauce, a la Il Giardino's secret menu :p
Parisian pastries (not cookies, serious serious artisanal pastry)
Italian esspresso. How many is too many? Not possible
Fish in chips from a London chippie, eaten on the street
Pencil thin asparagus, el dente with lemon butter
A pan fried trout, minutes from the clean Norther water (my catch)
Celebratory bubbly - cheap/expensive, no matter as long as its a happy occassion :D
Pavlova from The Lonsdale Quay - the magicians who create, I worship
Hotdogs at a ballgame. Mustard and onions - Mrs P happy, happy
Homemade blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, even better if the kid is home to enjoy with us
Birthday cakes made with love
Hot fudge sundaes with spanish peanuts
Breakfast in bed ;)
Sheppards Pie on a miserable day
Chicken soup when you are sick
A super fresh crueller with a strong cup of donut shop coffee
Cold seafood platters on an shady oceonfront patio (preferably in Italy or France)
Oatmeal cookies hot out of the oven
A quality bone in Ham, made with love
Peel and eat shrimp with lemons and cocktail sauce
Fussy tea sandwiches from five star hotels
Warm quality bread and unsalted butter
A hand dipped vanilla milkshake. Why mess with perfection
Beach fries with vinegar
Pear gelato, probably served in heaven everynight!
Creme brule, never get old if prepared well. It's all about the vanilla!
Acme Oyster Bar - New Orleans. Let the good times roll^
Gran Marnier Crepes in Paris
Sausages on a bun in the Park in Boston
Miller Geniune draft so cold there are ice crystals in the bottle
A quaility well made burger, old school and loaded
Fresh squeezed fruit juices
A good Pho
Puncit
Ukrainian perogies with fried onions and sour cream
Russian mennonite peasant farmer food
Southern barbeque-dh is becoming quite the contender
Wood fired, thin crust pizza from NY or Sicily
Quebec poutine, the dumpier the dump. The better the poutine (and characters serving it)
Fettuccini Alfredo-the legit stuff
Christmas classics, stuffing, shortbread, cran sauce, turkey, pumpkin pie...
Cottage cheese makers from Spain, I adore you
Dim Sum, anywhere the senior Chinese ladies and gents go, I'm so there
A decent baguette, pate, good cheese, a few gerkins, a bottle of French wine, a sunny afternoon and a picnic blanket. As my dearly departed grandfather would say when he enjoyed a lg family picnic "I wonder what the poor people are doing today". Wise man my grandpa@:-)

Clearly I love food. OK maybe I have food issues. It's conceivable that I may be completely obsessed. My trips often revolve around locating the best bakeries and restuarants.

LIFE IS LIKE A BUFFET, AND I'LL BE GOING BACK FOR SECONDSIES :o

Have you been to the bakeries in Japan? Save for the breads containing mayonnaise, there's some good stuff to be had, sweet and savory alike.
