Schweineshaxe
Hi,
Anyone please recommend the Restaurant in Frankfurt Airport where serve Schweineshaxe for lunch on weekday. Thank you |
I thought at first when I read this post that it sounded familiar and that I might have been there. Then I recalled that my experience some years ago was at a place in the main train station at Frankfurt. It didn't rise to the level of a restaurant, just a place for relatively quick foods already prepared--and for beer, of course. ;)
DH had the ham hocks and sauerkraut. We also had some variation on noodles and a gravy. Other things to try but we couldn't manage them all. We probably would have moved in, if they had only let us. If there is a restaurant at the airport that good, then it would be good indeed. ^ |
Hi SkeptiCallie,
Thks a lot for your advise. BTW what is DH? Where is it? (sorry!! I am a newbie here) Thks again. |

One of my favorite dishes.
There are a number of restaurants serving this hearty dish in Frankfurt. If you have some time between flights, some are just a short distance from the U-Bahn into town from the airport. I suggest you might try this one: Zur Schönen Müllerin Baumweg 12 60316 Frankfurt (Nordend) Tel.: 069-432069 Email: [email protected] The owner accepts most credit cards. |
Thank you very much everyone.

Isn't this also called Eisbein in local dialect?
