That's very kind of you - always happy to help someone empty their liquor cabinet :D Alas the LCBO only carry the regular Pimms (which is a vast improvement in itself as they never used to!)

Really? I recall it being available certainly from ca1994 onwards, possibly before.

In the early 2000s I used to bring Pimm's to more-English-than-English friends who lived on the Kingsway when I came to visit from London. They were always delighted that I brought back something from 'the old country'. Eventually I could contain the humour no longer and told them that I bought it in the LBCO on Weston Road!

When it's hotter than hades, nothing like a nice Daiquiri (no frozen stuff) with some good white Rum or Rhum. Up if you're in a good mood, on the rocks if you will be drinking all day...
And anytime is a good time for a G&T! |
Another vote for Pimms but, please, not the pre-mixed out of the squirty things pubs have.
|
Taking a break from G&T, my favorite cold drink lately (which is not very different) is gin and ginger ale, with a slice of lemon or lime. I think it's called a Foghorn. Just a short step from a Moscow Mule.

Gin & Tonic. When in Hawaii, nothing like a Tropical Itch to kick you over the edge at sunset.

Just got back from a vacation in Italy....and was introduced to a "Spritz". Prosecco and Aperol with an orange slice.... drank a plethora of them in the hot sun in the Amalfi Coast.....

Myself, I like an Americano for that, but an Aperol Spritz is a time-honored classic I've been meaning to try. |
