food & wine festivals - a question

is aspen the only single-ticket event? and did it only become that way because of demand?

edit >

I'm at the Melbourne food/wine festival now, which has all events separately ticketed. Some bargains (if $1000 tickets for 3 hour event can be called a bargain).

speaking of bargains, while naples is expensive, at this year's >
http://www.departures.com/luxury-lif...g-top-bordeaux (an example of coverage)
was an additional $2500pp on top of $4250pp
not sure if they do that kind of thing every year

Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion...vintages to be poured for each estate were 2000, 1990, 1989, 1982 and 1961 - and even the prince seemed slightly in awe as he unveiled the ten wines for an audience of 40 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. “I’ve never done a tasting like this,” the prince [of Luxembourg] who’s 43, said candidly. “It’s exceptional. Being in front of these bottles is like being in front of the Grand Canyon. Truly awesome.”
so only 40 tickets sold - from some of the original PR >

C’est Magique Honored Vintner event is limited to 70 guests

1959 Haut-Brion Surprise! At the lunch after the tasting, we were treated to some previously unbilled wines, including this beauty.

have any of y'all been to the Epcot food and wine festival? i'm thinking of planning a trip in the fall for it but wanted to get some feedback on those who have been.

I've been for the last couple of years. It's nice but not amazing. The food/wine options go from okay to pretty tasty. I'd check reviews ahead of time to see which countries are getting the best ratings.

I agree with LizzyDragon84. If you are planning on doing Disney World anyhow, it's a great, fun added benefit (especially for the adults), but not worthy of a trip, in my opinion, if Disney World doesn't hold much interest for you.
