Yeah, it was crawling over the meat that they keep in bowls that workers use to assemble the tacos. They always say there are at least ten roaches for every one you see.

Lant chips, a Swedish brand formerly sold at IKEA. Irresistible. Cape Cod chips Utz's lard-fried chips were amazing but are probably no longer available. Some UN-favorite flavors: Poulet roti (sold in France), Pickles (more like piccalilli, sold in Belgium). |

Central PA has to be the snack food capital of the world, at least when it comes to potato chips. While Kettle cooked Utz are good, nothing beats Martins Kettle Cooked. (Though Martins Kettle Cooked with Sea Salt are also quite good.)
By the way, there are still a couple of local brands which are fried in lard for a really crispy chip. |
