Why Would I Go to Dunkin’ Donuts for a Chicken Biscuit?!?

Some time ago, I signed up for Dunkin' Perks® Rewards, which is the customer loyalty program of Dunkin’ Donuts.

I have found the program useless, as they offer little incentive to participate in the program or to even patronize Dunkin’ Donuts at all — at least for me.

However, I keep getting e-mail advertisements for strange new items — the latest one being a chicken biscuit. Dunkin’ Donuts is not exactly the first thing on my mind if I were to think of a chicken biscuit — nor, for that matter, a tuna melt sandwich, hash browns or a chicken salad sandwich, amongst many other offerings that do not seem to make sense for a company whose core business is doughnuts.

Look at their menu for yourself. Do you say, “Hey! Let’s go to Dunkin’ Donuts for lunch!”

Am I missing something here?!?

This is the only way the chicken biscuit can get to the other side of the road.

Depends if you are in New Jersey or not.

From ABC News and quite a few others yesterday:

Police say there was more on the menu than Munchkins and lattes during the late shift at a Dunkin' Donuts in northern New Jersey.

A 29-year-old female is facing prostitution charges after police say she took breaks to provide sex in exchange for money.

Rockaway Township police launched an investigation known as "extra sugar" after getting a tip about the workers activities at the shop.

Sounds like that donut came with a special cream filling.

The court accepted her insanity plea when it became clear that she thought she was working at the Waffle House.

Another story that is useless without pictures! I like the suggestion that the operation should have been named 'Donut Ho'.

As for Dunkin Donuts offering chicken biscuits, why not. I would buy a doughnut and a biscuit sandwich in the morning.

This thread went OT in a hurry. I'm guessing that you are getting coupons for strange items because those are the items that DD is trying to promote as a way to expand their business.

It might be good. One of hubby's favorite breakfast items is a Sausage Biscuit from ChikFilA.

I wouldn't go to Dunkin Donuts for a chicken biscuit, but would try their tuna melt. Why the difference? There's a Dunkin Donuts near work, so I might try it as a different lunch meal, because the same things get boring after a while.

I thought about that when I posted it, but decided for my own sanity that I really didn't want to find a picture from the mugshot of alleged whore who worked the overnight shift at Dunkin servicing people in their cars. I figured that image would be much better off left to people's imaginations. Besides, somebody may frequent the place and recognize her as the woman who has touched hid doughnuts every day for the last year as he picked up a dozen to bring home every day.

Unless you fancy some of the most vile coffee on the planet and stale doughnuts, why would you set foot in a Dunkins for any reason?

Not being from the Northeast, I cannot comprehend the love Yankees have for this fetid pit.
