Off-topic again... Mr. Kipper enjoyed their $18 chicken pot pie a few months ago, although he insists it wasn't quite as good as mine, but it sure made up for it in quantity (the crust was the size of a woman's hat that you'd see at the Kentucky Derby). :)

I heart DD but I think Canarsie got the email about the chicken biscuit being based in Georgia. I get those DD emails but haven't seen anything about a chicken menu item. I recall McDonalds in Tennessee sold a chicken biscuit but I can't find those in New York. I used to enjoy Chik-fil-A breakfast as well but that is really difficult to get up here. I liked chicken-based breakfast items as an option since I don't eat a lot of the sausage and bacon stuff. Hardly any of the fast food chains up here offer any chicken options. I would try DD's chicken biscuit. I buy the egg white veggie flatbread all the time and would appreciate another choice (if it was tasty!).

Aside from their bacon, egg and cheese offerings and the doughnuts, I've not enjoyed DD's food offerings.

I enjoy their wake-up wraps, but that's about it.

After I have a Caesar salad, garlic knots and shrimp fra diavolo with linguine for dinner at a Chinese restaurant, I probably should go buy doughnuts for dessert at Burger King — if they offered them...

...and then I will go watch a night of prime time comedy programming on The Weather Channel, followed by crime drama television programs on The Food Network...

I don't eat donuts from anywhere, they just don't do anything for me. But the bagels at Dunkin Donuts aren't bad. And toasted with tuna salad or chicken salad on them, they make for a fast lunch. I'll be getting more tuna sandwiches soon with the season of great lent coming up.

I wouldn't go anywhere for a chicken biscuit. But I do like that they are expanding the menu. The food choices are better (and much much less pretentious) than Starbucks, so if I want coffee and a breakfast or lunch, I'll pick Dunkin.

the DD in the United area at BOS has a very limited selection.... but just as well.... Sausage Pancake Bites sounds awful.

I had a bit of an upset tummy yesterday morning anyway, but the thought of sausage pancake bites just really made me rethink eating anything yesterday.

Like my thread "Grabbing Java on the Road", or even "Grab-N-Go Breakfast" most have a different opinion on coffee and of coffee shop food. It's really a personal taste.

When I lived in the Northeast, I really did not drink coffee, so I never went to DD. Now that I do drink coffee, I happen to like their coffee, and when I am in range of a DD while traveling, I will stop, grab a coffee and have done their flatbread Turkey for Bfast. Maybe not the healthiest Bfast, but better than nothing in a pinch.

I'd never do Chicken and Biscuit - regardless of where it came from. I just don't eat like that. Mostly try to eat lean and healthy. Mostly.

But I'd not classify DD as feted. Many of the shops are super clean, have healthy alternatives, and comfortable sitting areas with LCD television and free WiFi. They are trying to be on par with Starbucks.

The flatbread turkey sausage breakfast sandwich is pretty healthy. When I need to pick up breakfast, I'll either go for that or their turkey sausage wake-up wrap, if I'm stopping at a Dunkin' Donuts.

I tried to get a flatbread from my local Dunkin' Donuts and they said flatbreads were cancelled. Have other people seen this?
