But it had been pretty awesome being able to go to a bakery and telling Miss Swede she can buy a cupcake she can eat. Such opportunities (when purchasing bakery goods) are extremely rare for her.
Is she vegan by choice, or is there some sort of allergy?

She's allergic to eggs, dairy, and almost all nuts. Basically, no donuts, no cupcakes, no nothing unless we make it for her. :(

We basically have to cook vegan at home, but with the added bonus of adding steak or bacon to our meal. :D

Yes, I can see how vegan is probably easier for people to understand. I'm allergic to nuts and know how difficult it can be at times.

That's got to be hard. I have enough difficulty avoiding dairy but if I can find a vegan label, I know I'm good. The nut allergy would throw a spanner in the works.

On a positive note, I'm flying Lufthansa in a couple weeks and found I could order a dairy-free meal. ^
