Revolving Rooftop Restaurants

Where is the most impressive rooftop revolving restaurant you have patronized? Wife and I both like them and have been in one in Chicago and in San Antonio.....

Not that impressive (food/service-wise), but the Marriott in Time Square has a nice view of the city skyline (they provide an outline map so you can decipher the buildings) from their restaurant (View)

Much higher in altitude (1000+ feet) is the CN Tower in Toronto - 360 Restaurant -- supposedly you can see Niagara Falls on a nice day -- I did not the 2 times I went.

The one atop Seattle's Space Needle is terrible. Expensive, indifferent food, like a trip to 1973 except for the prices.

The only one I've been to is the one on top of the Schilthorn in Switzerland. It was also Blofeld's lair in a James Bond film. You can watch scenes from the movie at the restaurant (in another room, thankfully) and they serve a James Bond Brunch.

As I recall, it was expensive and the food mediocre. You pay to be revolving at the top of the Alps. The view is second to none, though. :)

I don't have any personal experience, but this article recommends Five Sixty at the Reunion Tower in Dallas.

The view there is amazing, but the food is sub par, especially for the price.

I'm not big on "revolving" restaurants though. I've found that a spectacular view can be offered with out the gimmick.

I suggest the Signature Room in Chicago, and Yamashiro's in Los Angeles, both amazing views, especially at night.

The Auckland Sky Tower, the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The food was good (not great), but the view was unforgetable.

None that I am aware of. But a great setting for one, that is for sure.

The restaurant in the Kamzik TV Tower in Bratislava, Slovak Republic:

The UFO Restaurant across the Danube at Bratislava is atop the Novy Most bridge, but I am not sure whether it revolves:

I have never, ever been impressed with the food at a revolving restaurant. I think I'm like 0/6 on them. I only do drinks in those now if I just really want to see the view.

I guess they just always end up being a perfect storm of tourist trap.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon BlackBerry 9630: BlackBerry9650/5.0.0.975 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

The restaurant in the Hyatt Regency in downtown Kansas City is a decent steakhouse with great views. I don't recall the name, it may be "Skies."
