I drink at-home-squeezed OJ 70% of the time. Ergo, it has pulp.

Now with the store OJ... I like the pulp in general but wasn't there a nasty report recently that it actually isn't pulp but rather some gross ingredients?

I said PULP!

Pulp please

Fresh squeezed, no sugar added, from Central Market, is the way I roll every morning. $7.99 per half gallon, I go through one every 6-7 days. I've watched them toss big bags of oranges into the masher some mornings, it comes out with a little pulp. Not as much as home fresh squeezed, IME.

As stated upthread, OJ with no pulp is orange colored Minute Maid water.

I'll vote for "Pulp", even "Lots of Pulp", except as noted in a Mimosa or Screwdriver. Perhaps it's only a sensory perception, but the pulp seems to add additonal depth to the flavor.

I'll not pass up the Central Market "fresh, squeezed right there in front of you!" sort, but find the regular HEB brand of Fresh squeezed, not from concentrate (in 3 grades, no pulp, some pulp and lots of pulp, just as good as the "name brand' offerings. It seems consistent in flavor, while seasonal orange variety availablity does alter the appeal of real "fresh-squeezed'.

Back in the 80s, when I was a regular on Marriott "Concierge Floors", a major part of the brand appeal was Marriott's introduction of high quality ornage juice in the lounge. The first I recall was at the JW in DC. I could hardly start a morning in some cities without 3 full glasses of the nectar.

Love OJ with pulp....lots of pulp!!! Alas, it seems to be harder and harder to find the stuff in the grocery store!:(

Pulp all the way.

Pulp. Makes it chewy!

Exactly :)

Freshly squeezed not from concentrate is the best, but few of us have the time to either do it ourselves or stop by the rare cafeteria that offers it.

Absolutely agree with regard to HEB's orange juice. I can't tell a difference between it and "Simply Orange"'s offerings.

Mostly no pulp, but a half-pulp semi-demi-vente would be perfect, especially if some pulp counts as some dietary fiber.

From reading the OJ carton in my brother's fridge, it became clear that the "Trop 50" juice advertising "half-the-calories of regular juice" was because it's 49% water, 51% juice in each carton......then asked my brother whether his "Trop 50" was half the price as the usual Tropicana.

I drink either one- really just depends on what's on sale (usually ends up being the non-pulp stuff).

Also, I'm convinced Tropicana with Calcium tastes funny compared to Tropicana without Calcium.

Love pulp; Mrs. Swede (and kids) don't. Guess which one I have to buy. :(

I find the Calcium+ Tropicana to be chalky, esp the last glass if I forget to shake the container.

straining the pulp seems a bit much, but I was going to suggest that for pseudoswede's loved ones.

Either one is fine

Orange juice with pulp is one of the most vile concoctions available.

No pulp

I'm an ardent anti-pulpite.
