Oh yeah!!! We have a Wings to Go near my home in PA. Wings, cheese fries and beer. Used to be on my menu quite a bit! Stopped doing it a couple of years ago.

For people visiting the Triangle, Satisfaction in Durham, NC has good wings and a good selection of flavors too.

No hi-jack, but McRibs is back. I noticed it on a billboard here in southern california yesterday. Haven't been to McD's in years except for the coffee (or quick breakfast at LAX), but there's something wholly unappetizing about a fake rib sandwich.

In the Phoenix Area I like Long Wongs. They have locations in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale etc. and are very hole-in-the-wall style:

In Cleveland I went here once and really liked it. The one downtown had a 45 cent wing night that was quite fun to expense:

In the Phoenix area I'm huge fan of Zipp's Sports Cafe wings. Sports bar chain with quite a few locations in the valley. Same owner as Goldie's in Scottsdale. Dozen medium, extra well done, with a side of hot sauce = heaven.

I have a blog devoted to chicken wing news and reviews:

If anyone knows of a decent place to get Buffalo wings in the other London (England), do let me know.

Greg, There's a buffalo wing place in London (Lewisham) it's called stickywings and its great. It was reviewed by the evening standard and was top three in London. I and many of my friends think the wings there are as good as the US. We actually think it the only place that does them the right way.

+100 I go there at least once a week for their wings. I always medium golden. Their ranch is homemade too. I had a dozen last night. :D

Drover's in WV
http://droversinn.net/index.html

The Blue Danube in Toronto, OH (not sure if they're open any more - only served on Sunday and Thursday)

Anchor Bar are OK, the two above are much better both in terms of size of wing, crispyness/juicyness balance, and taste of sauce.

Quaker Steak and Lube are OK. Louisiana Lickers are pretty darn good. Probably the best of the "chain" places.

BW3 has great sauces, but the chicken itself is horrible. Tiny midget wings.

To the poster above, sorry, you can not find a good wing, period, in Colorado. Steamboat Smokehouse in Steamboat Springs is the only possible exception. You have to experience what it's like in the area between say Pittsburgh and Buffalo - there's a TON of great wing places in that part of the country.

The Anchor Bar has a branch inside security at BUF. This combines all aspects of FT in one place. And you can take them on board any flight because you're past security and eat them while others are munching on United's excuse for expensive sandwiches. The wings taste best when someone next to you is eating an inedible POS.

I hadn't been to a 'traditional' wing place in awhile, a client who is a big fan of wings suggested BW3, having not been in awhile I was all for it.

tc, I have to agree with your description. Good choice of sauces but the chicken was nothing special.

Nice to see all the Buffalo folks here.

My opinion - Anchor Bar has great wings, but the place has almost become a cliche with all the publicity its' gotten. As another poster noted, there are a zillion places in the Buffalo area that serve great wings. We have a Wing Fest in Buffalo every year, and all the places showcase their goods - heavenly! And people do come from near and far to join in.

OT - while you Buffalo guys are around, why don't we ask where's a good place to get beef on weck? I expect there'll be a lot of crickets chirping. :)

I like Anderson's (and the custard's great, too) or Schwabl's. Charlie the Butcher has it's fans, too, but I find it hit or miss. I like Blackthorn on Seneca St. in south Buffalo, too.

Not at BW3 now that they've taken the 3rd W away! :)

Really wish we had some decent wings here in London. Managed to have some good ones when I was last in the States at Atomic Wings in NYC

Never been to Anchor Bar (on the bucket list) but in Chicago my favorite is Cleo's on Chicago Ave. $.25 wings on Monday night!

Thanks for the Central Ave. nostalgia. Though, If you wouldn't mind indulging
me for a bit and saying where Candlelight Inn is in relation to where Dragon's Den was....

I think Tuesdays are $.25 wing nights.

The Still; brings back memories of my time at U of R although I like the wings better at Country Sweet.
