Yeah, a "brew pub" will treat beer like wine, and show you the prices for the various options. But a regular restaurant won't do that. They typically won't list any prices.

The OP is definitely not alone; I see this occasionally at both chain and non-chain restaurants in the US (no prices listed for "house" wines, for example), most recently just a week ago, and it's a pet peeve of mine. I ask servers what the missing prices are, and if they give a vague answer, I tell them, and ask them to tell the management --- for whatever it's worth --- that I'm not going to order anything for which the menu doesn't show the price.
