Favorite After Dinner Drink/Cordial you are too embarassed to admit you like?

While in the company of others, I usually order a dessert wine or I have another glass of red wine that was served during the meal.

While I am dining at home or in the privacy of a hotel room, I usually like a glass of Disaronno Amaretto straight up after my meal.

How about you?

Not too embarrassed, but I like a Grappa.

95% of the time its a cup of black tea. Not really sure if I have an embarrasing indulgence for after dinners.

Not embarassed to say I am a long time and varied drinker of cordials and cognacs: now I am drinking limoncello. I would be embarassed to drink Port wine though.

I love a little Bailey's after dinner.

Is there something intrinsically embarrassing about after dinner drinks that I'm missing?

If you've got $50 go out and buy a bottle of Conde de Osbourne Brandy de Jerez (spanish solera gran reserva brandy). If there is anything better for that on this God's green Earth I'd like to know...

Why is drinking Port wine embarrassing?

I think the point is that such a large number of them fall into the "let's make something really sweet and they'll drink gallons of it" category.

Mrs. Milepig has recently discover Disaronno and I know we'll have a bottle in the house at any moment.

I'm a grappa guy myself, or a good Scotch is always welcome.

I've started really liking campari/soda's..None of my friends do, but I just dig them. I freely admit the inspiration was the TV show Mad Men.

Either a Bailey's on the rocks or rarely, an Amaretto on the rocks.

In January my Dad ordered me a glass of Remy Martin, which I couldn't even finish. Now that's embarassing.

Most --meaning any one--on icecream after dinner.

If I have some best male friends over and they continue to drink beer after dinner is through, I sure as heck would not be breaking out the Disaronno and asking, "Would you all care for a glass?"

I don't know what's embarassing about after-dinner drinks either, but I'm fond of Baileys on the rocks (and some of my friends like that too).

Well that says a few things in order of importance:
  • Change after-dinner drinks you serve to something better (Disaronno:confused:)
  • Serve better dinner ;)
  • Find better friends :D

I love a B & B, but it's kind of a pansy drink...:D
