DENIED entry to B4 CRC because it is crowded and because I am PLAT AMEX not CRC...
Hi Folks,
This is not my day in ATL - it all started here:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=823020
Now I moved to the B4 CRC where I was denied entry as a Platinum AMEX holder because:
"We are very full and we are only allowing CRC members to enter".
I said - "I am a member, through my Platinum AMEX with current day travel on DL" - "Is this a fire code issue?"
She said - "Yes, it is a fire code issue" (and then allowed 3 CRC members in behind me)
I said - "If it is a fire code issue, then why are you allowing anyone in here?"
She said - "We are only allowing CRC members in the club at this time sir."
So I asked - "What about BizElite passengers?"
She said - "NO. Just CRC members" (I was SHOCKED to hear this).
I called SMS - They were helpful and said I should go back to the B4 CRC (which I don't want to go to at this point anyway) and tell the agent to call them.
Anyone else have this happen today? I always try to avoid the B4 CRC ("Crowd Room Club") but this experience was ridiculous.

I have never been denied entry to any clubs with my plat amex. Is this the first time this has happened to you?

Do you think it could just be that the room had too many people (fire code) or were they letting other folks in, just not you?

Only time I use B10 is when I've got a relatively short connection and just need a quick e-mail check and my flights are both leaving from B16 or lower (if it's anywhere near the center, I'll head down to B25, which while not great, is eons better than B10). Fortunately, this has happened to me only twice in three years.
