I also discovered, the hard way, that the price for a change fee, which used to be only $50 for PM, is now $75.

I change my flights regularly and that is going to be tough to absorb a 50% increase in that fee.

I then asked how 3 crying babies that cried 6 of my 8 hours previous flight was to my comfort, they had no answer. I've had people tell me, who had allergies that they would rather sit next to a cat than a kid.

I had to listen to a cat yowl all the way from Paris to Atlanta in business class one trip.

As bad as crying babies are, I think they are better than a yowling cat.

I just got dinged for $50 for the over the weight limit - of course the guy next to me weighed in at 55 pounds and I at 60, I was "rushed out" to avoid missing my flight (I had 45 minutes) and therefore couldn't argue why I was being charged and he wasn't? Nor was I given any time to "transfer" the excess to my carry on - I really felt like the agent was intentionally making it difficult for me to avoid the fee. On the way home, I did what I wanted to do on the outbound and everything was below the weight limit.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this with Delta? And there aren't any accommodations for elites?

Elite limit is 75 lbs, not 50. You don't get charged for the extra 25 lbs.

Elite limit is actually up to 70lbs. Anything over 71lbs is $100..up to 99lbs

Kind of amusing that since the Loony (CAD) is now worth more than a USD, our Canadian friends are really getting hosed with these fees. :D

Wow..funny story! My guess it was probably over 100lbs and would have to
be shipped through cargo! What a suprise that would have been putting
that through the TSA x-rays.

Well, now I'm going to ask the obvious question - is that only for a certain level of Medallion elites? Or anyone with the Skyteam Elite program? I'm not a Medallion member but at NWA WP member.

AFAIK, the excess baggage fee waiver on DL is strictly a Medallion benefit and not a Skyteam Elite/Elite Plus benefit.

The lack of any mention of it on the Skyteam website under Elite benefits would seem to back it up.

Sorry....
