Is anyone satisfied withe the "NEW" Delta?
It still seems like lipstick on a pig to me.

Can you be more specific with your complaint? Personally, I wouldn't expect anything to change overnight. Maybe we should take stock of what has changed since they entered bankruptcy.
I'll start: Pro: Free WiFi for CRC members Con: Reduced SkySaver availability for general members flying coach, and for all members flying BE. Of course it is yet to be seen if either of these are permanent. I know there are many more. |
I've only flown one flight with DL so far (HNL-SFO) since emerging. Seemed pretty good to me, compared to the other HNL-SFO redeyes I've ever done (with ATA and NW). ATA charged for blankets and food, NW charged for food, DL gave me an extra blanket when asked, gave me a snack pack consisting of milano cookies, potato chips, and a cold sandwich, and had the same good service.

If Delta could only get rid of those horrible CR1s that always seem to go down for maintenance before my flights, I think we'd have a winner.
All in all, the best stateside airline service I've seen in a while. (Disclaimer: I haven't flown on AS in a while, so I'm not counting them) |

Yes. Very much so.
(Trying to be as vague as the OP, but couldn't pull it off.) |

Which US airline doesn't fly CR1s, CRJs? I'm going to switch to them.
But I agree with your sentiment. I despise those horrid little planes. I'll take an ERJ anyday. At least you don't get a cramp in your neck trying to look out of the (too low) window in the cramped seat. |

No not at all

Very satisfied here. Loving the new free Wi-Fi for CRC members, employee morale is definetely very high, more planes with Live TV are coming, new BusinessElite comes out next year. Definetely very pleased with where things stand right now, and it's eons beyond what I experienced with US last month (US was my former carrier, and Delta's main competitor on my routes) - having to deal with the mess that is PHL, dirty, worn down 737s, much lower employee morale, etc. I joked at the PHL CRC that day that I'd kill to be back on the Widget instead of taking my upcoming US CRJ.

Delta and I have mutual respect and understanding.
I am satisfied. |
Yes...........

IMHO, they haven't changed that much. One change I have noticed on my flights is the FA's seem to be happier. True the pax still use their cell phones after the 3rd announcement to turn them off but all in all I think the FA's have an actual smile on their faces rather than a fake one.
I think the baggage handling crew is aweful and many of the GA's are rude and angry but I like the service in the air (since I fly to the UK all the time I deal with FA's more than GA's.) I have run into GA's that seem quite happy with their work, just most seem to think the passengers are the problem. |
absolutely

In Flight....yes, I am satisfied. Delta's inflight service has got to be one of the best. But that is only part of the picture....
I am a PM who cannot find Skysavers 331 days out. I have to pay the highest average airfares in the USA. And my "LUT" fare is usually more expensive than other city's K & Q fares, thereby lowering my priority for an upgrade. But I do like having direct flights to so many destintinations. Unless, of course, I book through DAY to save $400 to $700 by flying two more flights than I would normally need. And I always fall for that "sucker bet" on international flights, hoping to use my PMU's. But hey, I get 1.5 mileage bonus for future use on flights I can't book 331 days out. |
