Check In Problem

I'm trying to check in for a DL flite for tomorrow morning. I click on "check in now" and get the error "We could not find an itinerary that is currently available for check in"
Any tips on this one?

This happened to my wife's itin when I tried to OLCI her last week. We wer travelling together on separate PNRs because she was going one way and I was round trip. I OLCId fine, but she got the same error message you got. I was guessing it was due to SSSS status thanks to her one-way ticket. Got to the airport, and everything was fine--checked in at the counter, and no SSSS. While your situation could be different, in this case it was likely a bug that wouldn't allow OLCI for a valid itin.

We're both on the same itin- did get transferred to someone in online help. He said that there wasn't anything that should prevent me from checkin. He speculated that because our flight left at 6am Seattle time and the computers were in Atlanta there might be a time zone issue. He asked if Seattle and Atlanta were in different time zones. HUH????

I was thinking of starting a thread on funny comments by Indian phone agents, but it might not be appreciated.

This morning, at 7:00 am, I was asked if I had had a good day.

I was also asked if I was watching football and did I like football? Does this come out of some manual under the heading of How to stall the customer while you look something up? I told him I didn't care about the World Cup if that's what he was asking.

I almost asked the guy, "Hot enough for you?"

On the positive side, he explained how to get my 1,000 mile bonus which wouldn't post automagically (held award itinerary wouldn't book on Delta.com) without my asking.

Well, just called the delta.com support number I was given and this time I was told that because this was an award ticket booked by NW I couldn't check in on line. Funny, I've done it before with no problems...

I had the same thing happen to me recently. I used some Northwest WorldPerks miles to get a ticket with Delta and even though I entered my confirmation number, etc. on the OLCI page it would not work. It would not even work at the kiosk either. The agent who issued the boarding pass said it had to be an e-ticket on DL "ticket stock" for it to work.

(Incidentally, this same agent "found" my itinerary, then realized I was travelling on an award ticket on an overbooked flight and then "had trouble" finding the itinerary, then "found" it again when he realized I was a SkyTeam elite plus member and would not take his shenanigans without a fuss.)
